Late one night, 시어머님 wanted to buy 건오징어. The owner of the restaurant we had just eaten dinner at recommended 가락시장 - a massive market located in Songpa not too far away.

가락시장 is a wholesale market that specializes in seafood, but you can find anything there. Our taxi driver luckily knew where to drop us off to easily find the right spot.

Even at the late hour, many stalls were still open, and more than willing to help 시어머님 handle Korean money that she was unfamiliar with after so many years living in the US.
