The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Being Black and Korean
(in Korea)
Tony surprised me.
He contacted me (was it via IG?) with the abrupt request to sit down for an interview with us. Of course, we obliged. We set up in Daniel's office, where we chatted about Tony’s parents, heard his experiences catching a cab in Seoul and listened as he told us that it isn’t racist hatred that compels some people in Korean to discriminate against him as a Black-Korean man; rather, it’s lack of knowledge, a sin we are all guilty of at some point in our lives.
